Continuing airworthiness - maintenance training organisations
General Requirements
A CASR Part 147 approved MTO can conduct basic maintenance and type training following the procedures as approved by CASA in their exposition. They will train and assess individuals and provide reports of training achievements to both CASA and the students. If the MTO reports that a student has met the training competency and knowledge standards outlined in CASR Part 66 and its MOS, then that individual has satisfied the technical requirements for the relevant CASA licence or aircraft type rating.
