Endorsements and Licence Conversion

As part of their training, Category B1 LAMEs automatically qualify for Category A endorsement on their licence.

Category B2 LAMEs need to separately qualify for a Category A endorsement.

The principal feature of the CASR Part 66 licence conversion process is that current licence holders will be provided with the same privileges they currently hold.

This will be done by a combination of licence and type ratings and privilege exclusions against the licence category and type ratings.

Future maintenance licences will be perpetual with a CASA validity or record check every five years.
