CASR Part 66 Manual of Standards

The two CASR Part 66 legislative documents are:

• CASR Part 66
  
• Part 66 Manual of Standards (MOS)

The MOS details specifications for Part 66 licensing and includes the following topics:

• Category privileges of an aircraft engineer licence holder
  
• Aircraft type rating privileges for the holder of a licence endorsed with a rating
  
• Aircraft type ratings, which are displayed as aircraft (engine) combinations; for example, Airbus A330 (GE CF6)
  
• Required training, experience, subject modules, levels of knowledge and units of competency
  
• Examination standards
