Approval Certificates

An approved Part 145 AMO will have an approval certificate issued by CASA, which describes the scope of maintenance for which the organisation is approved, by the issue of maintenance ratings. 

The certificate will list the ratings for which the organisation is approved and limitations on the organisation for maintenance in each rating.

The Part 145 AMO may maintain to any scope of maintenance that fits within the stated limitation, listing more specifically in its exposition, aircraft or aeronautical products that its capability management procedures have authorised. The capability management procedure may not authorise maintenance beyond the scope of the limitation statement on the approval certificate.

Under Part 145, an approved Part 145 AMO may maintain any aircraft or aeronautical product for which it is approved.
