Subcontracting
A Part 145 AMO can use subcontractors (who are not themselves Part 145-approved) for the provision of maintenance of aircraft or aeronautical products.They can only do this if:
- The subcontracted work is within the scope of the AMO.
- The AMO’s quality system oversees the subcontractor to ensure work is performed to the necessary standard and in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
