Supporting Documents

The CASR Part 147 and MOS are supported by the CASA Acceptable Means of Compliance and Guidance Material (AMC/GM) documents.

In some cases, there will be a variety of acceptable ways to comply with the safety outcomes specified in the Part 147 MOS. These ways are published in the AMC/GM supporting documents. As an MTO building your exposition using these documents, you can be confident that CASA has already approved the guidelines provided.

If you believe that there is an alternative acceptable way to comply with an MOS requirement, you may propose that alternative to CASA for assessment. If CASA finds the alternative acceptable, it may use it for the basis of another published acceptable means of compliance.
