Continuing airworthiness - maintenance training organisations
Differences: Licence Accreditation
Current Situation – CAR 31
Under CAR 31, the provision of basic aircraft maintenance training is largely unregulated by CASA and the results are not recognised by CASA for issuing licences.
As a licence applicant you are required to undertake a range of CASA basic examinations and submit a schedule of experience or industry diary, which verifies that you have met the required depth and scope of aircraft maintenance experience.
New Approach
The following processes may be used by an MTO for the provision of training that leads to Part 66 licence outcomes for the training recipient. Click each process for details.
