12.2 DAME prerequisites for eligibility to be a DAME delegate for issue of Class 2 medical certificates

12.2.1

A DAME delegate may only issue a Class 2 medical certificate using CASA’s Online Medical Records System (MRS). Therefore, to be eligible to be a DAME delegate, a DAME and must have established the necessary secure and reliable electronic links to the MRS.

12.2.2

To be eligible to be a DAME delegate, a DAME must provide CASA with an authenticated copy of his or her signature which will be electronically affixed to certificates issued by the DAME.

12.2.3

To be eligible to be a DAME delegate, a DAME must first undergo special training in regulatory medicine provided by CASA.

12.2.4

To retain eligibility to be a DAME delegate, the delegate must undergo at least 4 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provided annually by CASA (which may be in association with various regional meetings). This period of CPD will count towards the requirements to maintain DAME designation.
